Introduction to Buddhist Logic
This course offers a structured introduction to Dudra (བསྡུས་གྲྭ), the foundational system of Tibetan dialectics and logical reasoning used in the monastic tradition. It introduces the basic principles of analysis, definition, and debate through a clear and accessible format, supported by texts and audiovisual materials.

Geshe Lobsang Gyatso
Geshe Lobsang Gyatso has taught Buddhist Logic and Reasoning at Varanasi University for over twelve years. He also completed five years of scientific studies through the Emory-Tibet Science Initiative, in collaboration with Emory University, as part of modern education programs for Tibetan monastics.
He has authored four official textbooks for the Ministry of Education on integrating Buddhist logic into the teaching of Tibetan language, science, and mathematics.
Classes are conducted entirely in Tibetan. A sufficient level of Tibetan is required to follow the course. Students should be able to follow spoken instruction and read basic Tibetan texts.
